Today Don is a very active member of the Senior Apartments community, citing his apartment’s scenic nature views, the socialization (“They have birthday parties, and coffee hours!”), and making new friends, as some of his favorite aspects. Reuniting with old friends makes the cut as well; upon arrival, Don promptly ran into an old childhood friend from Riverside, whom he had not seen in almost 40 years!

Having been a Senior Apartments resident for the past 8 years, Ann is considered by all to be a sincere treasure to this community. Until recently, Ann has been our cook and ‘baker extraordinaire’ for all of the community functions. Her delicacies have graced the tables of our dinner parties, coffee hours and food-centered events. If residents knew that Ann’s lemon pie, pineapple cheesecake, or famous turnovers were on the menu, attendance was always at full capacity!

Ms. McDonald has over 20 years of experience working at Sacred Heart, where she has held the positions of Director of Health Services and Assistant Administrator for the past 13 years. In her new position, Ms. McDonald will oversee Sacred Heart Home as it migrates from its current 57,000-sq.-ft. location into a new, 92,000-sq.ft. location on the Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus. With doors expected to open in the summer of 2020, Sacred Heart’s expansion will include the addition of 26 beds, totaling 96, and service lines will grow to include Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living and Memory Care.
