The Art Gallery at Montabaur Heights welcomes its fall exhibit, “The Light Speaks Eloquently,” through Dec. 31. It features more than 30 artworks from George Grace. The gallery is open to the pubic daily from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Visitors to the Gallery can RSVP 24 hours in advance to 716-407-5102 to have lunch for $15 in the dining room between 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
George Grace is an award-winning visual artist working in mainly pastels and acrylics. He is past president of the Buffalo Society of Artists. He has done more than 2,300 artworks and several series: the steel industry, then and now; the Through-the Rain-Blurred Windshield series; portraits and Southwesterns; hundreds of nocturnes, landscapes and cityscapes.
Many of the paintings in his Steel Plant Series come from photos he took while working as an electrician prior to the massive layoff of 1977. Many of his artworks of which are in the Western New York Steel Plant Museum and were exhibited at the Burchfield-Penney Art Center during its grand opening.
