Nursing Assistant Week 2019: June 13-20
This week is to recognize our nursing assistant’s hard work and dedication in the care of our residents and loved ones.
Nursing assistants are responsible for the 24/7, hands-on care that our residents and patients who are no longer able to do daily tasks on their own receive. A nursing assistant helps with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, feeding, turning and positioning, as well as transferring and ambulating individuals.
Nursing assistants are an important part of our healthcare team in their roll of caretakers to our residents and patients. The care they provide contributes in a big way to the overall wellness and well being of the individuals they care for. What they do matters so much to each person they serve.
This physically demanding, at times exhausting job takes training, as well as a unique individuals that possess both patience and kindness in their approach to their work. Our campus employs both Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s), at the Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home, as well as Personal Care Aides (PCA’s), at the Sacred Heart Adult Home and the BOM Home Care Service Line.
This week, we say thank you to all of our Nursing Assistants for all of your hard work and dedication!
