Jill Conway brings so much to the Trier Woods Community and deserves special spotlight recognition! Jill started her career in nursing in 1986 and joined The Brothers of Mercy Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center team in 2009. While she no longer works in that capacity, she has never stopped helping the Campus and our residents.

She works at all fundraising events, donating her time and talent. She leads the racers in our annual Oktoberfest 5K race. With her fun, persuasive style, she sells out the roses at Caritas every year!  For Trier Woods residents, Jill runs an exercise program three days a week, and she and her husband call Bingo on Wednesdays.

Although she works just for hours a week, she makes a huge impact! Her exercise classes include physical activity, blood pressure checks, healthy living education and a forum for discussing current events. She also acknowledges residents’ birthdays by holding pizza parties, and she often brings food and treats that she provides to residents at her own expense. She forms real trusting relationships with residents.

Recently, a resident called her because he cut himself and asked her to come over and help him. She dropped everything she was doing at home and was here in mere minutes. There have also been quite a few times that Jill has been called at home by a resident who was having a blood pressure scare. She zipped right over to do a blood pressure check and offered the resident support.

Jill used the pandemic years to go back to school for her Masters in Geriatric Studies. She has become an advocate for seniors in many different aspects, and we are very lucky to have her as part of our team!
