Outpatient Therapy Clinic Client of the Month ~ Joey Morgante

How did you hear about our clinic?
I went online and looked for one on one PT and this clinic came up. I tell everyone about you!

What made you choose Brothers of Mercy for therapy?
I was looking for individualized treatment and am willing to drive for better quality of care.

Have you ever needed therapy services in the past? If yes, how has your experience been different at this clinic?
I feel like you are training me and addressing my needs. We talk about exercises, when to use heat and when to use ice, what movements to avoid or change. I didn’t like that I wasn’t monitored at other clinics. They would tell me to do 20 repetitions and then walk away but I never got feedback on my form so could have been doing it all wrong. I know people that leave PT in more pain because the therapist wasn’t monitoring their movements.

What advice would you give to someone who is unsure about starting a therapy program?
If you don’t move, you lose strength. You will end up with a cane, walker or wheelchair. You need to strengthen your back, hips and knees to keep moving. I feel like I have to keep coming to PT until I feel like I can maintain on my own.

How would you sum up your overall impression of the clinic’s atmosphere, the quality of therapy services you have received and the expertise of the staff?
First, coming to PT is the high point of my week! The staff is caring, you know how to challenge me and I feel like I’m working on something. I encourage anyone who has physical issues to come here. You do get the individualized attention which is so beneficial.
