Saluting Brother Matthias Moller Upon Retiring from the Governing Board

Brother Matthias Moller recently retired from The Brothers of Mercy Holding Company’s Board of Directors after 15 years, although he remains on the Board of The Brothers Congregation (officially named Brothers of Mercy Mary Help of Christians).

It is always interesting to see how a member of the Brothers community first became a Brother!

Brother Matthias’ had a late religious vocation after spending years in the business world and domestic travel. Eventually circumstances in Brother Matthias’ life lead him back to the Church and shortly after returning he found himself on church committees and a parish council.

Originally, Brother Matthias had no interest in a religious vocation or intention on joining a religious community. However, the presence of the spiritual people in his life had a great influence on him.  Eventually Brother Matthias came to the realization that this is where God wanted him. He officially became a Brother on February 2, 2003.

He remains as the Community Treasurer and a member of The Brothers of Mercy Mary Help of Christians Board of Directors. He likes to follow sports, especially baseball.
