“When I received the tour from the admissions director, it was great that she really knew everybody in all the departments and floors. The staff is very attentive to all the residents and patients. I don’t see any employees distracted by cell phones. We were very pleased with everything there in her transition to the building. My mother is settling in with the care team. She is happy and content and has found the food to be a lot better. I haven’t heard any complaints from her. The building is very clean and has no odors. I like how there is a tally on the first floor of the staff and the level of care. It’s been a great step for her. She is feeling better and I don’t have any concerns with the care she is receiving.” – Charles, son of a transfer resident at the Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

“Thank you for your dedicated professional care for my sister Barbara. I love my sister. I live in Florida, 1,200 miles away. The remarkable care given in my absence gave me peace of mind. You are an outstanding team. Every department deserves special recognition. Each division worked in their gifted ways with the goal of exceptional resident care. Thank you for your holistic approach in caring for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of everyone, especially my sister.
My deepest gratitude in helping Barbara make three transitional moves as her health needs changed. You recognized the mental impact change has on the elderly. She welcomed her moves because all the facilities were on the same property. Familiarity brought her comfort.
The Brothers of Mercy staff and my outside support team were vital due to my living in Florida. The Care Team’s telephone conferences kept me informed of Barbara’s changing statues. In addition, friends and family were in constant contact with staff, adding to her superb care. Florika, a retired nurse and Elder Care professional, Roxanne Sorenson from ElderCare Solutions, guided her years before and after admission. Tim and Kim {family members} ministered to her social needs and shared joyful lunches and shopping. Love and caring were the foundations for Barbara’s stages of life. I thank all of you. May God bless, protect, and give you wisdom as you continue to care for your residents. You are doing amazing work.” — Betty, from Florida, sister of Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center resident

“I have been around The Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus for eight years. My uncle and aunt were in the original Sacred Heart Home. He was first to transition to the Skilled Nursing Center, where he died in 2023. My uncle was a Catholic Deacon who taught English on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, and he always said that if anything happened or it came time he needed the care, he wanted to go to The Brother of Mercy. Before he died, the staff always kept us informed and were very helpful the whole time.
My Aunt is in the Skilled Nursing Center now and is receiving excellent care. The activities staff is wonderful. They are always helpful and never refuse to do anything. The social workers take the time to talk to you. When my Aunt was having a tough time with her dementia, the staff was able to calm her down and keep her comfortable. She is very pleased with all the care and support she receives at the nursing home. They are so good to her. The care, comfort level and compassion there is outstanding. Everything is done very efficiently, and we have no complaints.” – Carol, Amherst
