The Brothers of Mercy today announced that it has appointed Matt McDougall as the Administrator for the Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at 10570 Bergtold Rd.
McDougall has held varied leadership positions in senior care across Western New York over the past 29 years.
“Matt brings a strong background in nonprofit health care leadership and a thoughtful approach to operations, team
development and resident care,” said Jennifer Blackchief, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus. “We are excited to welcome him to The Brothers of Mercy as he leads our Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center through an important period of continued growth, operational focus and planned facility improvements that will further enhance the experience for our residents, families and staff.”
McDougall, who served in the U.S. Army and New York State Army National Guard, is a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University. He earned his Master of Health Service Administration from D’Youville University and Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. He is a past member of Leadership Buffalo’s Rising Leaders.
“It is a great privilege for me to join The Brothers of Mercy as I have long admired the deep tradition of excellent compassionate care that has been provided here for generations,” said McDougall. “I embrace the opportunity to continue to update the infrastructure of the Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center as our staff sustains five-star care for our long-term care residents and short-term rehab patients.
