The Brothers of Mercy Appoints Jennifer Blackchief as Chief Operating Officer

Senior Living Executive Returns to Western New York from Rochester

CLARENCE, NY – The Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus (BrothersofMercy.org) today announced the hiring of Jennifer Blackchief as its Chief Operating Officer.

Blackchief, a health care and senior living executive with 25 years of experience, joins The Brothers of Mercy after serving as Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at St. Ann’s Community in Rochester for the last seven years, overseeing assisted living, senior housing, and strategic planning and growth initiatives.

“We are pleased to welcome Jennifer to our management team. Blackchief, a Cheektowaga resident, has also served as Senior Vice President of TeamHealth and Vice President and Administrator of The Bristol Homes in her previous positions.

She earned a bachelor of arts in social work with a concentration in geriatrics and biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She received a master’s in business administration with concentrations in operations management and finance from Medaille College. A certified Emergency Medical Technician, Blackchief was named to the Buffalo Business First’s Health Care 50 list in 2009 and received the Western Regional EMS Leadership Award in 2011.
