David Rogers appointed to the Brothers of Mercy Board of Directors

CLARENCE, N.Y. – David Rogers was recently appointed to the Brothers of Mercy Board of Directors. Rogers is a co-founder and a member of the Board of Directors of Life Storage, Inc. (formerly Sovran Self Storage), one of the country’s largest providers of self-storage services.

David served as CFO at Life Storage from 1984 to 2012 and was its Chief Executive Officer from 2012 to 2019. He also serves on the Boards of the Catholic Health System of WNY, the Old Fort Niagara Association, the Life Storage Foundation for a Better WNY, Read to Succeed Buffalo, the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, and WNY Heritage Magazine.  He was previously a Member of the Board of Advisors of the National Association of Real Estate Trusts, a Director of the Self-Storage Association, a Trustee of Nativity of Mary Parish and a Board Member of Computers for Children.

Rogers became a friend and benefactor of the Brothers of Mercy organization over ten years ago when his family members first began being served on campus. Due to this relationship and his breadth of extensive experience, Brothers of Mercy knew he would be a great and natural fit for the governing board. Dave is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo.  He has two children and two grandchildren, and lives with his wife Joan in Clarence, NY.

Rogers joins existing board members Brother Kenneth Thomas, FMMA, House Superior of the Brothers of Mercy, Brother Matthias Moller, FMMA, and Peter Eimer, CEO of Brothers of Mercy and Ex-officio. Additional members of the governing board include Sister Pat Burkard, OSF,  Administrator with the Diocese of Buffalo, Michael E.
