Outpatient Therapy Clinic Always Ready to Get You Back on Track

The community has always recognized The Brothers of Mercy as a premier destination for short-term and long-term rehabilitation, which led to the campus adding an Outpatient Therapy Clinic.

After nearly a decade of fundraising, philanthropist and restaurateur, Russell J. Salvatore, closed the gap to fund the creation of a new clinic, which was named in his honor.

The Russell J. Salvatore Outpatient Therapy Clinic officially opened to clients on January 15, 2018 as one of the only clinics to offer physical, occupational and speech therapy in one convenient location as well as one-on-one treatment sessions.

Clients have ranged in age from 18 to 102 years old. The staff enjoys treating residents from our independent and assisted living facilities, employees, family members and those from nearby communities including Clarence, Williamsville, Akron and Lancaster.

As a campus known for a family-like atmosphere, the Outpatient Therapy Clinic strives to achieve excellent rehabilitative outcomes while also leaving customers satisfied with their experience each and every time they have a session. Since attending medical appointments and exercise “classes” can bring on anxiety, the staff aims to make therapy sessions fun through conversations about favorite restaurants or recipes while getting to know each client on a more personal level. Everyone shares exciting and sorrowful moments, just as it is with family.

Upon discharge, the staff hopes every client will share their positive experiences with friends or family looking for a new therapy clinic and end with a “see you soon” in case they may ever require the services again. Although therapy is never meant to be a continuous, lifelong process, it is always bittersweet to have to say goodbye.

If you are looking to start a therapy program, you will need a prescription from a doctor that will follow you throughout the care plan. Call (716) 759-7680 or visit BrothersofMercy.org/outpatient-therapy-clinic/ to schedule an appointment for physical, occupational or speech therapy.
